Eggnog Bread
For breakfast or a snack, eggnog bread is a unique Christmas recipe your family will eat up. This simple recipe is uses ingredients you likely have on hand for the holidays already! Serve with apple cranberry jam or hazelnut spread for a satisfying holiday treat.
Eggnog Bread
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease only the bottom of a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat 2 eggs with a fork.
- Add 1 cup eggnog, 2 tsp rum flavored extract, 1 cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract and ½ cup soft butter to the beaten eggs.
- In a separate bowl, sift 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour, 2 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp salt and ¼ tsp ground nutmeg together.
- Add the dry mix to the eggnog mixture, stirring just enough to moisten. Pour into the greased loaf pan.
- Bake bread for 40-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan. Cool completely, wrap tightly and store in refrigerator.
