Peach Cobbler
Peach cobbler is a delicious Christmas dessert that fills you with warmth and coziness during the holiday season. This peach cobbler recipe is infused with almond flavor and makes for a memorable Christmas dessert or breakfast.
Almond Peach Cobbler
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- On the stovetop, melt ½ cup butter and pour it into the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish.
- Combine 6 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned), ½ cup sugar, ½ teaspoon almond extract, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and ½ teaspoon nutmeg. Stir well and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine 1 ½ cups milk, ½ cup sugar, 4 teaspoons baking powder, ½ teaspoon salt and 1 ½ cups flour. Mix well. Pour the runny batter into the butter dish but do not stir.
- Top with the peach mixture.
- Bake until golden brown; about 50-60 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
